Coolant

Coolant

Warning
•  When under pressure, the coolant can get very hot without boiling. As soon as pressure is reduced, for example by opening the expansion tank cap, the coolant will boil. Do not open the expansion tank cap until the motor cools down completely. Doing so can cause hot coolant to spray out, which could seriously scald you.
NOTICE
•  Only use coolant specified by Zeekr. Failure to do so could cause damage to the high voltage battery and/or cooling system.
•  Do not mix coolants from different brands even if they are of the same type. Doing so could cause the motor to overheat due to changed coolant properties.
•  Make sure to have the coolant inspected before exposing the car to freezing temperatures. Failure to do so can cause the coolant to freeze, destroying the coolant system and allowing the motor and high voltage battery to overheat.
The coolant keeps the motor and the high voltage battery operating at optimal temperatures.
It is particularly important to have the coolant inspected before winter or if the car is going to be taken to a cold area. If there is not enough coolant in the tank, the high voltage battery and the motor will overheat since the coolant cannot cool them down. Using the right type of coolant is also important. If the environment is colder than the approved temperature range of the coolant, the coolant will freeze and expand, damaging or destroying the cooling system.
To inspect, top up, or replace the coolant, or if you are planning to drive in very cold environments (below −40°C), contact a Zeekr Hi-Tech Service Center or an approved service partner.
For the coolant replacement interval, see Service intervals.
Note: A warning message appears on the driver display if the coolant level is low, which could indicate a leak in the cooling system. Contact a Zeekr Hi-Tech Service Center or an approved service partner for an inspection as soon as possible.
