Tow bar

The car can be equipped with an electric tow bar, which must be installed at a Zeekr dealership or workshop. If you wish to install a tow bar on your car, contact a Zeekr Hi-Tech Service Center or an approved service partner.

Tow bar accessories, such as bike racks, may obscure sensors or cameras, limit view, block the tailgate from opening, or otherwise limit car functionality or drivability. Zeekr takes no responsibility for damage or injuries resulting from installing or using a tow bar accessory, for any omission of instructions from said accessories, or for failure to follow said instructions.

If you have installed a Zeekr tow bar, it is electronically deployed and retracted through the center display.

To deploy/retract the tow bar, navigate to >Safety & Service>Service.

We recommend:
Retract the tow bar when not in use.

During towing, the maximum allowable speed is 100 km/h, or the maximum towing speed dictated by local regulations, whichever is lower.

An unbalanced trailer can lead to trailer sway and other dangers while driving. Always distribute the load with about 60% of the weight in front of the axle, and about 40% behind the axle. This rule applies regardless of how many axles the trailer has. Make sure to always tie the load down so that it does not slide around in the trailer.

For additional protection, the car is equipped with trailer stability assist which controls individual wheel slip to correct potential trailer swing before there is an accident.

It is also possible to perform a trailer light check before driving to ensure all the lights are working as expected.

To perform a trailer light check:

Towing a trailer is a skill. This manual cannot replace knowledge and experience of how towing affects the vehicle, how to effectively secure loads, maneuver a trailer, and so on. Damage caused by inappropriate towing is not covered by the warranty.

We recommend:
Practice driving with a trailer in a safe location before driving a trailer among other road users for the first time.

Refer to the tables below for the total trailer weight and tow ball load that the car can safely carry. Remember that while driving with a trailer, the gross vehicle weight of the vehicle combination may be exceeded by a maximum of 100 kg or 10%, whichever is lower, provided that the maximum speed is limited to 100 km/h. See Dimensions and weights for information on the gross vehicle weight. Be aware that vehicle specifications do not take precedence over local regulations.

The tow ball load is the downward force exerted upon the tow bar by the weight of the trailer and its contents. It must be at least 4% of the total weight of the trailer and its contents. Any less and the car will become unbalanced and unsafe to drive.

When towing a trailer, make sure the tire pressure matches the recommended value for towing. See Recommended tire pressures.

Note: Maximum towing capacity includes the weight of the trailer itself.
