Caution
• |
If the car is not in P, keep the brake pedal depressed until you are ready to drive. Failure to do so will cause the car to start moving or rolling, which could cause it to hit a person or an object, resulting in injury or damage to the car. |
The right stalk is used to change gears. The driver display shows which gear is currently selected.
To shift to
D and
R:
1. |
Depress the brake pedal.
2. |
Shift the gear lever to the desired gear.
To shift to
N:
1. |
Depress the brake pedal.
2. |
Slightly shift the gear lever down/up and hold for one second.
If the car is in D or R, the car starts driving forward or backward if the brake pedal is not depressed. If the car is in N and on a slope, the car might roll if the brake pedal is not depressed or auto hold is not activated.
When in R, the reverse light on the back of the car lights up, and the parking assistance interface is displayed.
To park the car:
1. |
Come to a complete stop with the brake pedal fully depressed.
2. |
Press the P button on the gear lever.
3. |
The electric parking brake is activated.
Note: If the car is started and stationary, and auto hold is activated, releasing the seat belt or opening the driver door will automatically activate the electric parking brake.
