•  Hill descent control is a supplementary function and cannot assist in all situations. The driver is always responsible for driving the car safely. Relying solely on hill descent control when driving on downhill gradients can lead to an accident which could result in serious injury or death.
Hill descent control assists the driver when driving on downhill gradients with rough or slippery surfaces by utilizing the car's brake systems to control the car's speed and stop it from accelerating past a safe downhill speed. The driver can still use the accelerator pedal or brake pedal to adjust the car's speed.
Hill descent control is active between 4 km/h and 40 km/h.
