Hill start assist

Hill start assist

Warning
Always use the brake pedal if the car starts rolling backwards. Failure to do so can cause an accident, which could result in serious injury or death. Hill start assist cannot prevent the car from rolling backwards in all road conditions or when the car has reached its maximum load capacity.
Hill start assist maintains the brakes for approximately two seconds when the car is stopped on an uphill slope with at least 5% gradient. This gives the driver the possibility to move their foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator pedal, without the car rolling backwards. If you do not press a pedal within these two seconds, the car will roll backwards after these two seconds.
Note: Hill start assist works even if auto hold is disabled.
